JIBS is recruiting a post doc in media entrepreneurship for its Media, Management and Transformation Centre (visit MMTC - Jönköping University ) for a two-year fulltime position.
We are looking for a candidate with extensive practical experience from the media industries, profound practical as well as theoretical understanding of entrepreneurship and a track record of designing and conducting high-quality research.

WORKING TASKS
MMTC was established in 2003 with the aim of becoming a knowledge hub on the transformation of the media industries. Since then, its strategic scope was broadened to study the impact of the driving forces digitalization, globalization and sustainability on the transformation of businesses and industries.

The available position combines a focus on research within the area of media entrepreneurship, the organizing of international workshops and conferences within MMTC’s core areas, teaching within JIBS’ curriculum and in practitioner-oriented seminars, as well as administrative responsibilities to differing degrees.

QUALIFICATION
You should hold a PhD degree from a reputable university in business administration, completed no more than three years before the last date for application. You should be able to transform your research results into high-quality publications of societal relevance. Therefore, a clearly developed research agenda around media entrepreneurship aiming at top level outlets is meritorious.

Extensive practical experience of working in the media industries and with entrepreneurship is considered as a merit.

We prefer applicants to have a strong international profile and established an international research network. As this position includes the responsibility to organize international workshops and conferences, prior experience with organizing events is also a merit.

We expect that you are fluent in English.
