Lecturer in Prosthetics & Orthotics - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Department of Rehabilitation (AFR) at the School of Health and Welfare is responsible for education within Prosthetics & Orthotics (P&O) and Occupational Therapy (OT) at the Bachelor Level, Master of science in Product Development with a specialization in assistive technology (MASTech) and Occupational Therapy at the Masters Level. The department also delivers Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician and Pedorthist educations at the technical diploma level (YH).  Our Bachelor level P&O and MASTech educations are international programs conducted entirely in English. The clinical education in Prosthetics & Orthotics is the only such education offered in Sweden. 

The department is expanding, and we are in need of two lecturers in Prosthetics and Orthotics. One of the positions is a permanent employment and the other a temporary replacement for 1 year.

What can we offer?

You will mainly work with theoretical and practical teaching in the Prosthetics & Orthotics program, Prosthetic & Orthotic technician and Pedorthist educations. The tasks also include course responsibility and course planning as well as participation in the development of the various programs / educations. What are we looking for?

We are looking for a certified prosthetist and orthotist with an interest in education and development. You are structured and have a good ability to organize your work. You like to collaborate and appreciate flexible work. You are competent in English, verbally and in writing. Abilities in Swedish are considered a merit. We would like you to have at least two years' experience of having worked clinically as a prosthetist and orthotist. Extra merit with clinical experience of prosthesis supply of lower extremity.

As a lecturer, you also need to have:

• master's degree or equivalent competence of relevance to the institution.
• documented pedagogical skills, for example supporting individuals’ and groups learning.
• good ability to lead teaching and develop education.
• undergone training in higher education pedagogy or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge and undertakes to undergo higher education pedagogical training during the first two years of employment.

Employment

One of the positions is a permanent employment with a scope of 100%, with a starting date to be agreed upon. A permanent employment normally begins with a six-month probationary period.

The other position is a temporary replacement for 1 year with a scope of 100%, with a starting date to be agreed upon.
