Assistant Professor in Work Organisation - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

At the department Supply Chain and Operations management, we work with both research and education. The department is responsible for four education programs, independent courses, and commissioned training. The education is supported by research in the subject areas supply chain and work organization. The research is conducted in different projects, always in close collaboration with external partners, companies, and public organizations. The department currently has around 35 employees, but now we need reinforcement. We are now looking for an assistant professor in work organization who wants to develop research and education together with us in our department.

TASKS

As an assistant professor in work organization, it is important that you contribute to both education and research.

Within the education, you will be able to work within courses in leadership, project management, group dynamics, change management, business management, innovation etc. Teaching can take place at all levels, i.e., basic level, advanced level, in postgraduate education, and in commissioned education for professionals. Of course, you strive for high quality and contribute to developing the educations at the department.

On the research side, you will play an important role in the research at the department, within the field of work organization, where our focus areas are management and organization of industrial work, learning and innovation in both industrial and public organizations and the interaction between them, as well as the interaction between people, technology and organization. We hope that you will collaborate with other researchers at the department, other academic environments, as well as the representatives from surrounding companies or other organizations, in successful research projects. Furthermore, we would appreciate if you were interested in supervising doctoral students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are required to have a doctoral degree in a field relevant to the position.
• Experience of teaching within work organization (leadership, group dynamics, project management, change management, business management and innovation) or practical experience from corresponding management work.
• Experience of research within work organization.
• Fluent in English.

Meritorious

• Experience of leading positions in academia or other organizations.
• Experience of working with management and organization in an industrial context.
• Experience of collaborative research (e.g., interactive research, action research).
• Experience of collaboration within / with the business community (seminars, consulting initiatives, expert assignments, etc.).
• Experience of teaching professionals.
• Fluent in Swedish.

TERMS

The position is a permanent employment of 100%, with a possible start on 1 November or by agreement.
