ABOUT GRAITE

GRAITE brings together researchers and doctoral students nationally and internationally to develop knowledge about how AI and digital technology are changing education, learning, and professions. The focus is on how teacher educators can understand, use, and critically examine AI - while preparing future teachers for a school system where AI is becoming increasingly important. The research program is characterized by interdisciplinarity and collaboration between the humanities, social sciences, technology, and pedagogy in strong national and international networks. The goal is to strengthen teacher educators' ability to develop and convey knowledge about AI in education that supports democratic and ethical values and enables new teaching practices.

Your project should contribute to strengthening the scientific basis in one or more of the following areas:

  • Teacher educators' digital competence and their ability to support teacher students' critical and responsible use of AI.
  • Development of and preparation for teaching practices with AI in teacher education and schools.
  • Analysis of the opportunities and limitations of AI in relation to steering documents, national conditions, and society's digital transformation.
  • Methods for integrating AI into teacher education in different subject areas.
