The Economics Faculty at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is a highly committed research department with graduate and undergraduate programs. The Economics Faculty hosts several strong research groups, including public/labor economics, regional economics, and entrepreneurship.

We are seeking a candidate for a Post Doctoral position in Economics. It is a 2-year Postdoc within a research project investigating the effects of digital tools in retirement planning.  Utilizing administrative data from the Swedish pension dashboard, minPension, and Statistics Sweden, the project seeks to identify socio-economic disparities in the utilization of Pension Tracking Systems (PTS) and evaluate the influence of PTSs on retirement choices. This project has garnered financial support from the Hamrin Foundation.

 

As a Postdoc your focus will be on conducting high-quality research and actively contributing to these research objectives and aims, as well as organizing project-related workshops and conferences. Teaching is provided in Economics at either bachelor's or master's level to a maximum of 20 per cent. The department allocates teaching assignments based on the candidate's preferences.

We invite applications from researchers who have completed their doctoral degree (no older than three years) or have a scheduled defense date before the starting date for this position. The Degree of Doctor should be in a relevant discipline, such as economics or business administration.

As a successful candidate you are used to handling large datasets using micro econometric techniques. You should demonstrate your ability to perform high-quality research, and if you can display experience in public and/or labor economics it is considered a merit.

It is also meritorious with research experience or interest in topics related to retirement, aging and/or digitalization.

This is a fixed term Post Doctoral position for two years with a start date no earlier than January 1, 2024, and no later than September 1, 2024.
