Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is one of four schools within Jönköping University. JIBS’ mission is to advance the theory and practice of business, with a specific emphasis on Entrepreneurship, Ownership, and Renewal. Three simple principles guide what we do: International at Heart, Entrepreneurial in Mind and Responsible in Action. JIBS offers Bachelor, Master and PhD-level studies in Business Administration, Economics, Informatics, and Statistics. Since 2013, JIBS co-operates on the master and PhD levels with universities in Ethiopia and Rwanda, and since 2018 also in Mozambique. JIBS has approximately 100 faculty members, 1750 full-time students, and 60 active PhD candidates. JIBS is double-accredited by EQUIS and AACSB.

WORKING TASKS

We are looking for an administrator, currently with focus on providing support to JIBS’ projects in emerging economies. The work is planned in close collaboration with JIBS’ Directors of International Development Collaboration. The tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to leadership functions in JIBS’ emerging economy projects
  • Supporting faculty and PhD candidates with travels, accommodation, and allowances
  • Answering general enquiries from internal and external actors
  • Providing administrative support for the planning of Regional Summits in East Africa as well as for conferences, symposia, seminars, and workshops organized by faculty colleagues
  • Supporting the East Africa working paper series, including contacts with editors, web-designers, IT, and library services at HS
  • Organizing and presenting information to PhD candidates and faculty
  • Providing administrative support for matters tied to doctoral dissertations

 The position may include travels to emerging economies.

REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the position you have: 

  • High school diploma
  • Administrative work experience (or what the employer considers as equivalent).
  • Skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English.

Having an academic degree, experience of emerging economies and basic financial knowledge is meritorious. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

This position is a permanent full-time position. Starting date is according to agreement.
