The School of Health and Welfare is one of four schools within Jönköping University and one of the leading institutions in the country for academic studies in health, nursing and social work. The Institute of Gerontology (IFG) perform research and education about old age and aging at School of Health and Welfare, Jönköping University.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The applicant is supposed to independently carry out research in IFG´s collected data sets, write applications, guide or instruct junior colleges and students. Educational skill in psychological gerontology and statistical methods is important.

QUALIFICATIONS
The applicant shall have a Ph.D. and competence as full professor in psychology. Recognized excellence in gerontology. Experience of team-work and interdisciplinary environments. The applicant should be used to work in large data sets, should possess statistical excellence and be used to work with longitudinal twin data and structural equation modeling including latent variables. Long educational experience and experience mentoring graduate student research.

The applicant shall also be prominent within their field of study and demonstrate an original and innovative research activity of a high standard. Have documented experience of academic leadership.

Meritorious is if you have statistical excellence, experience with bio-aging and knowledge of quantitative genetics. Suitable personal qualities are experience of team-work and interdisciplinary environments. Fluent in spoken and written English, Swedish is meritorious.

The employment is permanent with part-time (50%). The employment begins February 1, 2021.
