The School of Education and Communication is part of Jönköping University and offers first, second and third cycle education in several areas within social and educational sciences and the humanities. Here, students across nationalities meet.

We are now seeking a Lecturer in special education, with the specialization in child participation, learning and health!

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Applicants should demonstrate an interest in life situations of children at risk and with disabilities, with a specific focus on the development of scientific knowledge on inclusion, engagement and learning, of young children in pre-school and school- settings.

Major responsibilities of the Lecturer will be to: teach in special needs education and the interdisciplinary international master's program in Childhood Intervention, and; collaborate with others in the research community. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To be eligible for a position as a Lecturer you must have a Degree of Master (60 HEC) within Childhood Interventions or corresponding competence of importance to the position or activity. You have a well-documented expertise in teaching as well as a sound ability to lead teaching and develop courses and study programmes.

You have taken a course in teaching and learning in higher education or have acquired equivalent knowledge in some other way and undertake to take a course in teaching and learning in higher education during their first two years of employment. You have documented experience of working in research projects and have experience of collaboration in research related to the subject area. You have experience of communicating academically in English.

It is meritorious if you have documented experience of second-cycle level teaching in higher education.
