The Department of Rehabilitation within the School of Health and Welfare is looking for a dynamic individual who is interested in joining our team. The Department is responsible for educating occupational therapists (bachelor and advanced level, campus and web based), prosthetist/ orthotists, prosthetic and orthotic technicians, as well as conducting research related to these areas.

Job description
The main task of the individual to be recruited will be education of students in occupational therapy theory and practice. Teaching duties will include assuming responsibility for planning and administration of courses within the program as well as participating in the development of the program.

Research and grant applications of relevance to occupational therapy will also be included. Other tasks may also be applicable depending on the background of the individual.

The occupational therapy education is provided in English and in Swedish. The position provides good opportunities for a motivated individual to impact upon the education, be a part of an enthusiastic and creative team and be able to influence.

Qualifications
To be eligible for the position you have a doctoral degree in occupational therapy or in another relevant field. You have documented teaching expertise and have completed courses related to pedagogy in higher education or have a willingness to complete such courses. Clinical experience as an occupational therapist within the past five years is meritorious.

We expect you to have high level of competence in spoken and written Swedish and English. You have demonstrated sound leadership skills, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as a member in teams. You have a personal drive for continuous development but at the same time you have the ability and willingness to support junior team members. Furthermore, you have demonstrated a sound ability to plan, organize and prioritize the work in an effective way and can adapt to dynamic working conditions. Ability to attract external funding is meritorious.

Starting date is 12 August 2019 or according to agreement. The position is permanent. The scope of employment is full-time or part-time.
